Purpose of the Symposium

We would like to express our sincere appreciation for your continued support and cooperation with the activities of the Robot Revolution & Industrial IoT Initiative (RRI).

We are pleased to announce that the Robot Revolution & Industrial IoT International Symposium 2026 will be held under the theme, “Data Integration and Industrial AI: Shaping the Future of Manufacturing.”

On the Session Day, as initiatives for industrial data spaces advance from the Build/Run phase toward Scale, we will introduce efforts in Japan and Germany to expand use cases and participation by companies, and discuss future challenges and directions for collaboration. We will also explore the rapidly evolving field of AI—including generative AI, agentic AI, and physical AI—from the perspectives of academia in Japan, the United States, and Germany, examining their potential impact on industry and discussing how the manufacturing sector should respond. In addition, we will present the outcomes of Japan-Germany collaboration on Industrial Trustworthiness and Security, and on Standardization, as well as the latest developments in International Manufacturing-X.
